The PJN Sitemap Generator has just been built.
The sitemap generator starts at the home page and then makes a list of every hyperlink on that page.
The external links are held in a different list.
Page by page the generator goes through the site missing out any duplicates.
Once finished the sitemap will build an xml file suitable for submitting to Google.
Currently the application is going through testing, but soon it will be published for free download on PJN Computer Solutions, download.com and other free download websites.

The original PJN CMS has now been used in about 7-10 websites and I've decided it's time to upgrade.
The new CMS (Content Management System) will have all the same features as before but will be a lot more user friendly.
Using a htaccess file all pages, blog entries, pictures in a gallery and literally every page will have a clean URL.
Clean URL's are easier to read by Google than query strings containing "?" and "&".
Through pinging new blog entries are also now going to be submitted directly to a list of blog ping directories which will improve website traffic.
The look of the CMS is a lot less plain and is a lot easier to navigate around and use.
Page content can now be added in a rich text format, rather than in HTML view.
The number of pages on a website can be limited as well as the website's functionality.
The new CMS will be used in a website before the end of November.
